Based in London, Dr Imtiaz Ahmed is an Oncologist and one of the most famous Tagore Exponents.
Born in a musical family, his music started under the guidance of his father Dr. Mafizuddin Ahmed. Later, he was trained in Tagore songs under the tutelage of Wahidul Haque, Sanjida Khatun and Maya Sen.
His albums of Tagore songs, Hridoy Amar Prokash Holo and Nribhrito Pran er Gaan have acclaimed appreciation UK, Bangladesh and India. Imtiaz is also well known for rendering the songs of ‘Pancha Kabi’ – the five famous composers of Bengal. He performs in UK, USA and Bangladesh with well known organisers.
Imtiaz is the founder of Anandadhara Arts. A renowned institution teaching and promoting Indian music in the west. He also has been actively involved in teaching music in Satyen Sen School of performing Arts.
